Whale shark tour Cancun Availability?
Every year during the summer, from May 15th to September 15th, the first 3 weeks and last 3 weeks of the season the sighting probabilities are 50%, higher than 90% in July and August, and the rest of the season around 70%.
Swim with whale sharks Cancun Recommendations
- The use of regular biodegradable sunscreen is restricted, bring biodegradable and must be applied 30 minutes before starting the boat tour.
- We highly recommend the use of UV Sun Protective Swimwear instead of suncreen.
- Use your waterproof camera.
- For more comfort during snorkel use a wetsuit.
- Wear sunglasses, a hat, and a cotton long-sleeve shirt.

The combined total for both fees per person is USD 20, which is required upon arrival at the port. Kindly be aware that only cash payments are accepted, and there are no ATMs accessible at the port. Therefore, it is essential to bring cash with you, as this payment is obligatory for boarding the boat.
