When this tour is available?

Every year from June 1st to September 15th these giant sharks arrive at the Mexican Caribbean.

Ok, but when is the best time to do it?

June to September is the ideal time to do it, and during July and August, bigger amounts of sharks arrive, reaching past year almost 200 spotted in one day.

Is a 100% nature tour, and the numbers of sharks mentioned above is an approximation based on past seasons.

How long is this tour?

Is a half day tour between 8 to 10 hours, booking other tour activities the same day is not recommended.

Tour starts at 6:00 am van transfer from your hotel, boat tour starts 8:30 ant you’ll be back at your hotel around 2 pm to 3 pm.

This is a 100% nature tour where weather conditions and boat search for whale sharks would require more or less time.

And pickup times also could change according to your hotel location.

Whats included in The Tour

Tour includes shared land transportación and boat transportation in case you book without transportation option land transfer are not included.

Snorkel gear necessary for this adventure includes mask, life jacket, and fins, the wetsuit is available for rent at the marina.

Express breakfast at the Marina before boat tour start (water, bread, fruits & coffee).

During tour snacks(chicken sandwiches, peanuts & granola bars) and beverages( soft drinks, sodas & water) available.

Lunch (Chicken sandwiches and fresh fish ceviche) at Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres.

The Whale Shark Tour Cancun Restrictions

There are some restrictions, children under 5 years old and pregnant women are not allowed.

The use of sunscreen must be biodegradable but is recommended not to use any, to avoid contaminating the whale sharks area.

Can I bring my camera and wetsuit?

Yes, we recommend you to use a wetsuit for more comfort, you can bring your own or rent one at The Marina, same for the camera, at marina waterproof cameras are available for rent.

Yes, all boats have Monitoring and Security Systems verified and certified by the Harbor Master before the summer season starts, in order to get the 2018 permissions.
